The Handheld Pulse Oximeter's main purpose is to measure and record the pulse rate and functional oxygen saturation (SpO2). It can be used for both clinical and domestic usage.
What is SpO2?
The percentage of oxygen saturation found in the blood is called SpO2. It is determined by the total hemoglobin of the arterial blood and the oxyhemoglobin's (HbO2) percentage. To reflect the respiration function, the SpO2 acts as a vital physiological parameter. The formula can be defined as:
SpO2 = HbO2/ (HbO2 +Hb) ×100%
The hemoglobin that releases oxyhemoglobins (oxygenized hemoglobin) is HbO2.
Default Low Limit and Range of Normal SpO2:
Hypoxia is determined with the SpO2 value drops below 94%, commonly in healthy people. So, the SpO2<90%, according to most researchers, is the default threshold for determining anoxia. Thus, SpO2 is generally set at a low limit of 90%.
Factors that affect the SpO2 accuracy (interference reason):
Factors causing low SpO2 value (pathology reason):
Measurement Parameters: SpO2, Pulse Rate, Perfusion Index
Waveform Display: Plethysmogram, Pulse intensity histogram
Alarm Function: Audio and Visual Alarm
Beep alarm for abnormal readings with adjustable limits (can be configured by the user)
Mute function - suitable for use during longer-term sleep apnea monitoring
Automatic power-off after the finger is removed from the probe
Optional PC data management software for transmission and analysis of measurement data (software and computer cable available as an accessory set)
Includes metal stand with rubber feet to hold the unit in place while being used

Amazing! Handheld Pulse Oximeter!
No issue with this product so far. I'm using it for my son while we are shielding. (Heart condition the requires monitoring of oxygen in the blood) The product synced up with the hospital one and I've found it incredibly easy to use. I have previous experience with these monitors and I've never used one THIS easy. I would recommend this product, especially to anyone who struggles with tech. I bought the child's attachment as well, all in all a good brand.
Good machine for adults. Long lead.
I purchased this product to monitor my SPO2 and pulse overnight. It has worked perfectly in this role. It is easy to configure and is well made. My doctor daughter commented that the sensor assembly was of the same type as she used in hospital. It fits firmly and has not come off during the night. The software also works well on my Windows 10 PC. It is very easy to download the results from the oximeter to the PC and to adjust the time display to increase or decrease detail. The display on the oximeter is clear and easy to read. It also warns you if you have not positioned the sensor on your finger correctly. I note that one review commented that the lead was not long enough for his big hand. I would consider that I have an average sized man's hand and I would suggest that it would fit a larger hand than mine. The only thing I would complain about is that the probe connection to the oximeter is via quite a cheap and cheerful connector which does not have a positive feel when connecting. I did have some connection issues when I first connected it but these appear to have disappeared now. I cannot comment on the accuracy of the unit as I have nothing to compare it with. For this it has been perfect. All in all, I would highly recommend this product.
